Derby Public School Bond Issue

Buckley Roofing was part of the $100 million school bond for Derby Public Schools in conjunction with the design and construction team. Derby Public Schools needed additional education, transportation, and maintenance buildings to accommodate the district’s continued growth. There were eight buildings roofed as part of Buckley Roofing’s scope of work. 

Oaklawn Elementary School Addition
The 44,500 square foot, Carlisle 115-mil, white TPO (flex fast) roof consists of two layers of 2.6” polyisocyanurate insulation and ½” densdeck prime coverboard. 

Derby High School BP2
This 12,700 square foot, Carlisle 115-mil, white, TPO (flex fast) includes two layers of 2” polyisocyanurate insulation and ½” densdeck prime coverboard.

Tanglewood Elementary
The 30,500 square foot elementary school roof is two layers of 2.6” polyisocyanurate insulation and ½” densdeck prime coverboard. The Carlisle 115-mil, white, TPO (flex fast) roof was installed by Buckley Roofing crews. 

Stone Creek Elementary
The 80,500 square foot, Carlisle 115-mil, white, TPO (flex fast) was completed with two layers of 2.6” polyisocyanurate insulation and ½” densdeck prime coverboard. 

Wineteer Elementary
The 12,300 square foot Carlisle 115-mil, white, TPO (flex fast) roof was installed with EPS insulation and ½” densdeck prime coverboard by Buckley Roofing crews.  

Parkhill Elementary
The 10,300 square foot Carlisle 115-mil, white, TPO (flex fast) roof was installed with two layers of 2.6” polyisocyanurate insulation and ½” densdeck prime coverboard. 

Maintenance Building
The 28,900 square foot maintenance building was retrofitted with an R-Panel Roofing System. The Carlisle 60-mil, TPO mechanically fastened to purlins was the application used to complete this roof. Materials included the EPS insulation and ½ HD polyisocyanurate insulation.

Transportation Building Addition
The 1,600 square foot building addition included Carlisle 115-mil white, TPO (flex fast). Materials used to completed this roof were metal panels.
